Fourfront Contributor is deeply saddened to share news of the passing of Jeff Thomas, CEO of Frontier Behavioral Health, and a deeply respected colleague and member of our organization.
A champion of behavioral health, Jeff dedicated his entire career to improving access to care across Washington state, especially in the Spokane region. In the more than 10 years that Jeff served as CEO of Frontier Behavioral Health, he established the organization as a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral healthcare, expanding programs and services and growing his staff to more than 700 talented professionals.
“We’re heartbroken by the loss of our great friend and colleague, Jeff Thomas. All of us who were fortunate enough to work with Jeff are better for knowing him and we will deeply feel his absence, his insights and creativity, and his unwavering dedication to the mission of community behavioral health,” said Tom Sebastian, president and CEO of Compass Health. “Our thoughts are with Jeff’s family and loved ones, his team at Frontier, and all those who knew him.”
“Jeff’s advocacy on behalf of community-based behavioral health agencies across Washington state and the communities we serve is unmatched. He was the very essence of a great collaborator – and left an impact to prove it,” said Jodi Daly, CEO of Comprehensive Healthcare. “We will miss him dearly.”
In addition to his roles at Frontier Behavioral Health and Fourfront Contributor, Jeff’s dedication to the behavioral health community and Spokane region also included leadership roles with the Washington Council for Behavioral Health, Better Health Together, Empire Health Foundation and more.
